Denver Business Journal: Influential Architect Hired for Proposed 14 Story Hotel Near Denver’s Civic Center Park

 

A Denver firm that’s leading the redevelopment of Larimer Square has hired one of the world’s most influential architects for a new hotel project near Civic Center Park. Urban Villages submitted a conceptual site plan to the city last week for a 14-story, 139,000-square-foot hotel to be built on a 0.24-acre triangular parcel at 14th Street and Court Place. Concept plans are the earliest stages of the city’s development plan review process and final projects tend to change before crews break ground.

Jon Buerge, chief development officer at Urban Villages, declined an interview, but emailed Denver Business Journal a prepared statement that the hotel project “will bring new vibrancy to the city’s urban fabric, creating new connections to the Civic Center Park and taking design inspiration from Colorado’s abundant natural elements and the Rocky Mountains.” continue reading original article…
