RailSpur: Recreating an early 20th century collection for a new era

Adaptive reuse of historic buildings is the specialty of Denver-based Urban Villages, which paid a total of $32.9 million for the buildings, starting in 2010.

It was the Pioneer Square historic district that brought Urban Villages to town for its first Seattle project, and it was the block’s unique alley network that captured their attention.
